My goal is for students to see accounting as a tool for understanding how businesses actually work. I begin most class sessions with a current news story that illustrates the day's material, connecting technical concepts to events students can recognize, and I work to build a classroom where they feel comfortable asking questions and reasoning through problems together. Ultimately, I want students to leave my courses with both the technical foundation they need and a genuine appreciation for why accounting matters.
